Hi there!
I'm Zoë, a graduate of Mary Washington. My work mainly focuses on conflict, human security, and open-source research, with a particular interest in political and security dynamics in the Middle East.
I have experience in open-source analysis, tracking political developments, and synthesizing complex information into accessible writing for both policy and public audiences. I’m especially interested in how information and media shape conflict environments and influence decision-making. In addition, my background in publication and editorial work has shaped how I approach research; not just producing analysis, but communicating it in a way that is precise, engaging, and impactful.
My interests are also deeply interdisciplinary. I’m drawn to the ways history, art, literature, and politics intersect, but more broadly, I’m motivated by questions about how authority is constructed, how identities are shaped, and how those forces continue to influence modern conflict and governance.
Outside of my professional work, I value creativity and connection. I enjoy reading, cooking, and spending time outside. Whether through research, writing, or conversation, I’m always interested in engaging with ideas that challenge perspectives and bring people together.
I’m always open to new opportunities, collaborations, and conversations - feel free to reach out!
Yours,
Zoë
